Our Story

The Story Behind Jimmy’s Jug

Jimmy’s Jug wasn’t born in a software lab—it was born out of love, memory, and a legacy of terrible golf swings.

Jimmy was our dad. He absolutely loved the game, even if he was undeniably rubbish at it. Along with my brother Antony, the three of us spent years sharing laughs, hitting slices, and walking the fairways together. When Dad passed away, we wanted to create something lasting to celebrate his life—an annual tournament that would bring his closest friends and family together every year.

We called it Jimmy’s Jug.

We are now approaching our 10th consecutive year of running the tournament. Over a decade of organising this event, we faced the same frustrating roadblock year after year: we couldn’t find a single app on the market that did everything we needed. We spent more time chasing entry fees on WhatsApp, manually calculating Stableford points on damp napkins, and organising photo galleries across three different platforms than we did enjoying the day.

Driven by ten years of event-running experience, we decided to build the ultimate, all-in-one digital companion for British golf societies and tournaments.
