Jimmy's Jug ("we", "us", "our") provides a golf tournament management and scoring service. We operate under the laws of England and Wales and act as the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. For any privacy enquiry, contact us at privacy@jimmysjug.com.

2. Data We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to deliver the tournament scoring service:

• Names — for player rosters, leaderboards and team pairings.
• Email addresses — for organiser accounts, login and event notifications.
• Golf handicaps — to calculate net scores and Stableford points.
• Uploaded photos — for the optional Clubhouse Feed and event galleries.
• Essential cookies — to keep you signed in and remember your preferences.

3. How We Use Your Data

We process personal data strictly to provide the golf tournament scoring service: hosting events, publishing live leaderboards, collecting entry fees, and showing tournament memories. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising profiling.

4. Lawful Basis (UK GDPR)

We rely on performance of a contract to run the service you have signed up for, legitimate interests to keep the platform secure, and consent where applicable (e.g. marketing emails, which are off by default).

5. Where Your Data Is Stored

Your data is stored securely with our infrastructure provider Supabase, on encrypted servers within the United Kingdom and European Union. Access is restricted by Row Level Security and strict authentication, and all traffic is transported over TLS.

6. How Long We Keep It

We keep event data for as long as your organiser account is active, plus a short period needed to comply with our legal obligations. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your dashboard.

7. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, port, restrict, or erase your personal data, and to object to processing. To exercise any right, email privacy@jimmysjug.com or use the Delete Account & Data button in your dashboard. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

8. Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you logged in and to improve your leaderboard experience. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
